DIY Flip-Over Shanty?

(1/6) > >>

COVEJEEPSXJ:
Has anyone on here made a custom flip-over style shanty? If so any advice?  Source for materials and hardware?

I made a custom sled using a large rubbermaid action packer and would like to try to make a flip-over style shanty that would attach to it.

I am thinking about using Boat Bimini Top hardware. For example:

You got the right idea with the bimini top hardware. I was going to build one last year using electrical conduit and sew my own cover. I ended up getting a pop-up blind for x-mas so i did not get to build it this year. Maybe a project for the summer.
I looked at a lot of the pre-built ones based on an otter type sled to get ideas.

here are a few pics of a flip over I made last year.  Its kinda rustic and cheap-its nothing more than a pallet with built up sides and a tarp and  1x3 for the framework--its not much to look at but it serves its purpose--
