Ok Thanks. but I went there sunday for the first time ever. Not much action on the tip ups, but the one flag i did have landed me with a ten pounder.

I was there just over a week ago on the main lake.

Lots of good ice.   We only fished for the day but had several flags and caught three pike ( 2- 3 lbers and 1- 10 lber).

Headed there next week for five days and will report back then.

Where you from and where do you access the lake?
My family has a farm on the south shore of the lake just a mile west of the Bootlegger.

Im from Great Falls. I was fishing on the south east side of the lake.

Talked to a guy today that said a couple 10s and a 20 lb snot rocket were caught last week.  The Walleye fishing has been slow he said.  How thick is the ice over on the SE side?  It's supposed to be 18" up in the Willow Creek arm.

I didnt really measure the ice, but it had to be a foot to a foot and a half deep.
