That northern ice should be good for a while.

My boat is always ready and this might be the first year I use it in February. At least I won’t have to deal with any crowds!  ;D

Too little, Too late for any meaningful ice for Oneida, IMO.

past three years I’ve used my boat 12 months each year. Crazy and I’m not alone. Ramp I hit Sunday 5 other boats out.

Yo Freddy,

I’ve been fishing @ Goose & Chippewa for 3 weeks now. Going up Saturday with my son & Grandson . First family outing this year. They got good ice, even better after the last 2 nights.

Yo Bruce

No school next week. Monday is a holiday. Bring the boys up to Goose or LOTI. They must be getting pretty big. Time to share a picture with us eh?

I’m not sure if we’ll make it up that way next week.  :-\

Here’s a couple recent pictures. The boys have been busy with basketball and archery this “winter”.

My nephew shot a robinhood at 20 yards. The kid is a natural. He just started shooting archery last month!  :o

Archery is a great "life" sport! Nice to see the young ones smile and enjoy the outdoors! The way things are going with firearms in this country it's a good hunting skill to have. Those guys will have a blast at a 3D archery course! And don't forget bow fishing.

They seem to enjoy it and it keeps me shooting year round. My oldest turns 12 this summer so this fall should be a lot of fun.

My oldest boy turns 12 in October just to late for the youth Weekend. He's taking his Hunter safety and Bowhunter April 13th and 14th. Buying him and his 4 year old brother life time license with tax money this year

That is a great investment!

My buddy's kid has the same issue with an October birthday and turning 12 this year. It will all even out in the end.

I got my grandson his life time license before he turned 12 as a birthday gift
If you get it before age 12 you’ll save like $230.00

He will be in the woods this October unfortunately his Birthday is the 18th 4 days after the youth hunt weekend ends. It's all good though at 12 hes seen me and my  hunting buddies kill more deer than a lot of people get the opportunity at. Hes very into the outdoors is just as pissed as I am with this weather he hasn't been on the ice since 2021

Reelyze  way to go with those boys!  Good to see you're starting them with decent equipment.  Get them involved in a league somewhere. They'll not only learn a great skill but also good sportsmanship as well as finding new friends interested in the outdoors. I wish someone had started me at that age. (of course, back then folks were still throwing rocks LOL)

They’re in a youth archery league this winter. It is a lot of fun and they are learning a lot.
