I was out with the snowmobile last night on the lake after I got a call from a buddy who rents an air B and B. He had some renters who threw a track on their tracked wheeler a mile out and needed their gear towed in to shore. It was pretty froze up if you were in someone’s tracks out there so wasn’t to bad.

Fished this afternoon from 3:30-5:30. Travel was pretty darn good on the snowmobile. Only ran into one pretty good area of slush but it wasn’t too bad. Shanty didn’t get swamped or anything like that. Ended up limiting on eyes and 2 jumbo perch. Tossed back one small perch and one short eye. Also got broke off once. That makes 4 times I’ve been broke off by eyes this winter. Getting expensive lol. The keeper eyes I caught were on the bigger side. They were all hooked in the back of the throat. They were def hungry.

best fighting fish i ever  caught threw the ice  is a  tiggermusky   but i have never  caught a laker threw the  ice  ...i hear laker and i get visions of netting them  for beer bellied guys from new  jersey and  having to say  nice laker    and then they ask how i like eatting them ...... threw the ice it sounds  fun .....

The snow settled a lot. There is still a good amount of slush. That should get pretty sloppy tomorrow and then hopefully freeze up.

Another 26” eye tonight. Hard to believe!

Went out of Godfrey Point this afternoon for last couple hours. We got 1 keeper eye, 16 incher, and 3 nice perch. Dropped a good eye and also caught and released 7 short eyes. Beautiful sunset and evening. Drag wasn't bad at all on snowmobile trails.
