I do not believe you can get back in the US from Canada with an enhanced drivers license.  I belive you will need a passport card or passport.  Every time I return to the US from Canada they aske for a passport or pasport card.

If you just have an enhanced driver license you may have to say in Canada.

This is for US Citizens.  Take note, The Customs Officials , on either side, can do as they please!

US to Canada is different than the reverse:
A valid U.S. passport or passport card is preferred, although a birth certificate, naturalization certificate, citizenship certificate, or another document proving U.S. nationality, together with a government-issued photo ID (such as a driver's license) are acceptable to establish identity and nationality.
US citizen entry to US from Canada:
U.S. citizens returning to the U.S. from Canada by land or sea are required to present proper travel documents according to the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative. Approved documents include a passport or passport card, Enhanced Driver's License, or NEXUS trusted traveler program card.

The Enhanced DL works fine coming and going into Canada.  Used it several times myself.

all you need is a Enhanced Driver's License we go up and back, we  fish the bay of quinte and  go camping you won't have any problem

Fished yesterday evening. 4-6 inches of snow on the ice. Don’t know how much more after last nights snowfall. I had to get the skunk off out. Marked some fish in the 2 spots I tried but no luck. I’ll be back at it this afternoon.
