cornelia and morse
« on: Dec 06, 2008, 08:54 AM »
has anyone been out fishing these 2 yet and if so are you doing any good?  i love making a trip up there every year to chase the big perch in cornelia.  and has anyone every fished elm lake through the ice?  ive seen holes out there but i duck hunt it every year and i know it aint very deep.  i read that the ice is doing pretty good up there so i was hoping the bite would start soon.  i love early ice on cornelia the fish seem to bite alittle better i think.
early to bed early to rise fish like h.e.l.l. and think up lies.

anyone been out on either of these lakes in the past week? i put my permanent out on Cornelia on sat. the snow was knee deep. it took me an hour to clear enough snow with the ATV to pull it out and then it all blew back in after an hour. going to try to get out in the am and get some paths cleared so we can get back out on the ice. ice was 11in on sat.

Have not been that way in a while
With all the snow makes getting around a little tough without a ATV/snowmobile.
Do you night during the day or a night Perch

:-[I fished quite a few spots South of the walking bridge from 8' to 16' with nothing taking my offerings. I tried Waxies and Live Minnows but during the whole time never even marked a fish on the Vex.

Water is very clear with a bait easily seen at 14' and the bottom very clear at 13'.

Ice was 13" at every hole I drilled. The first inch was white ice but the remainder was good looking ice.

Oh well, maybe next time.
