There is so much you can do with this app. There is a help tab on the Menu Tab and scroll down to the bottom of the page that is plethora of info.

I work for Navionics, but my hands are tied by the forum rules on how much I can do since Navionics is not a site supporter.

I did a couple of webinars a couple weeks ago on another site that was well received.

That's cool.  Maybe you should push Navionics to "get on the wagon" here.  @)  Maybe Navionics should take your webinar(s) and make them available via a YouTube Channel.
Thanks for the info.

Kirt, you guys should allow the import of custom layers, kml/kmz files, and image overlays. I've been having to use Custom Maps for overlays of areas with no info in Navionics. Itd be nice if I could use a single app

^^Yes, this right here^^

its ok for 9.99 . but the map does no zoom in enough to get accurate .its is handy to have wih at all time

It should zoom in to be quite accurate. I have a feeling you may be on the sonar charts. At the bottom left on the map is the navonics symbol (blue circle) click on that and select the navonics instead of sonar.
Maybe that isn't what's happening with yours but I know that's how it starts as a default.

IMO this is the best handheld lake charts and. GPS available, and at only $9.99 it's a no brainer.

Question about what you download this app too. I'm old and have no use for an Iphone to surf the web, and chat with friends. I use a flip phone and only talk and text. I'd like to know if using an Iphone with the app, does the phone have to be activated, can you just use the app as it's downloaded to the phone. I'm thinking I could buy an old Iphone, and only use it with the navionics app, and never use it for a phone. thanks

You need  to be careful to get a device that can support newer ios operating systems.  Otherwise the app may not work.

The app can work as long has he has access to wifi, but he will need a plan to get GPS.
