drove by today....corny's solid again, so is morse (still thin)...and elm has a big hole the geese are keeping open out around the mouth of the north bay....also indian lake has about 5" on most of it but the edges are open around the beach and opposite point.

Fished all after noon Sunday. We were out 100 yards off the north bank and had 7" of good ice. There was still open water at the bridge and the ice in close to shore was a little thin.

Fished about the same area today.North/central.  Had 8 inches of ice and 6inch yellows. Northeast corner was wind broken with open water in places. Rest was comfortable and making those growing sounds.

Good luck Mike. I've been on the lake 3 times this year and every day was a blast. We got into nice perch back on the 10 of Dec.  After the lake refroze we had a day of better than average yellows. Last Sunday took a 26" cat on 2# mono that wouldn't fit through my 4" hole.
We were on the north bank and didn't mark a fish till we were in 16FOW. Then it was so hot we didn't move all day.

Sunday I had 7" 100 yard out from the bath rooms. It was still only 3" close to the bank. Open by the bridge. This weeks weather should have helped. But now we get the snow and that will slow things up..

Just talked to a friend of mine that lives near there and he said he got some nice yellows and a few good sized bluegills this afternoon. I think he was near the campground somewhere.

Went and gave Elm a try with the boys last Wed. when they had an early out of school. The bite was pretty slow and alot of dinks. We did however manage to pull a few good ones through the ice. We were sitting on around 8in everywhere we checked on the north end.

North end o elm wasnt looking good at all today. Went out and fished for a few hours till the fog lifted.  Put the spud bar all the way through numerous times and lots of very bad spots and open water. Didnt get a single bite until I casted my pole with a bobber into one of the open spots.

We drove by Cornelia and there was a guy bucket fishing straight off the camping spots. Ice didnt look as bad as elm but pretty slushy looking.

The thing you have to remember about Elm, is it is spring fed,  that being said, the north end is almost always worse than the rest of the lake.

I drove my half ton pick up on Cornie la Saturday.  Haven't been back out there since, but I can't imagine that it is unsafe.  Might be a little iffy along shore though.

Funny we drilled through 13" in the shack.  I think at 5, there would have been at least 5 vehicles on the bottom. ;)
