Title: Open water in NE.
Post by: Unclegillhunter on Feb 08, 2015, 10:28 AM
Just hoping there is some good ice next weekend. How far north of Omaha will I need to drive? Don't need anything but good ice. I can find fish. Not saying I will catch them. Just need to go dig some holes one last time this year. Thanks!
Keep it safe! Out of ice in Omaha!

I'm headed to up by lake city in a couple weeks right now there are reports of 20-26" of ice in that area.

I was on Lake Thompson 2-7-15 and there was consistant 24" of ice everywhere we drilled. Just stay away from the heaves.
oh and we slaughtered the crappie! a few walleye and a couple nice perch.
