awesome ice conditions, the water on top froze with a skiff of blown snow on it, super awesome too walk, drive atv/snowmobile, pull sled.....  anyway went out by suger loaf and poison/boulder creek and it was ok, fished 2 1/2 days caught 25 keepers, 20 over 11", 2 over 14" but barely, all perch of coarse..... ice was anywhere from 9"-11" I would guess..... hopefully I will get up here next week or so....

Hope to meet you there Chief. Taking a buddy on his second ice fishing trip Thursday and I was planning on Sugar also. Hope the 40 degree weather up there does not make slush.

What is the shortest walk to Sugar loaf and what side of Sugar is best?

not sure the short way to sugarloaf  island  but if you park at the old road bed and head out is my guess just foot traffic . i fish from the boat ramp at sugar loaf will up in the morning with some buddies
