Made It Out Again!
« on: Feb 22, 2020, 10:56 AM »
I made it out on a lake in Noble County, yesterday and this morning. First main lake fishing I've done all season, up to this point it's all been channel fishing. Bite was tough as usual on this Lake, but I ended up with 15 nice gills and one decent perch yesterday. This morning I mainly targeted perch and ended up with 5 nice perch and 5 gills. The biggest perch was 10" and the one gill was 9 and a half inches. This late in the season and a season like we've had, I'm tickled to get any fish! Here's a couple pictures. Hex

Thanks for the fix. Just what I needed. Didnt make it out this season. Sure that there were many who never ventured out on thin ice. Me being a bit heavier than most,  never pushed my luck. Just wait a few more weeks to get the boat out. SOON

I Hit a couple lakes today.  Started at wawasee and there was open water near where we were going to fish so on to plan b.  Headed south a bit and picked up some redears.  No big ones but got a good mess.  Ice was solid and wind was stiff.

Left there and picked up a bite to eat and on to lake c.  Ice not as solid but sun is hot and bright!  Marking plenty of fish again from 8 to 20 fow. Started getting some decent gills with a redear or two mixed in.  Great bite at dusk.  Ice turned to slush on top.  Broke through at the launch coming off.

Nice fish. I was out for just over four hours today on a lake in Lagrange Co., ice was 4"-5". I caught 24 gills and not a one over 5".

Yeah, we caught a bunch of those today also.  Not sure how many fish I caught but I would guess at least a couple hundred.  My hands are sore from handling them.
