Hi! My name is Brian and this is my first post-I am a long time fisherman but new to the ice.

I have fished the streams in that area for trout but never Crater lake.  I heard its beautiful in summer though.  I fished Blue mountain lake once in spring and guys were catching stocked trout-heard there were small pickerel and small perch. Its a nice location up on a mountain.
I was curious about watergate pond off old mine road-it is basically fed by Van Campens brook so I am not sure how solid the ice is.  I have caught big blue gills on the flyrod in summer time and it looks like nice bass water too. Was thinking of inspecting it yesterday but went to a lake in warren county instead.
