Lake Erie Western basin

Lets hope this wind and warm up don't blow all the ice out. It's good to see so many perch out there with the walleye too!

Funniest thing about ice fishing for me is when people who know nothing about ice activities try to warn me about the dangers of the ice...

I have hear a lot of good things about the Western basin but I haven't been able to commit to driving that far. I wouldn't have any idea where to go or start.
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Teach a man to ice fish, have his wife mad for ever.

I made it out yesterday as well. Our group caught 8 walleye and 4 perch, lots more on camera but were very skittish. Tough to make them bite. There was an hour or two from 9-11 that was hot, but slooooow after that.
