I agree the blue and silver cast master is one of my favorites. Always seems to work when nothing else is

the hyper glide is for catching fishermen ;D

Good fishing lures don't need to catch fish............just fishermen

I love it! How many times do you hear something along the lines of: match the hatch, or figure out what they're eating....I'm pretty sure without human intervention these fish would starve if they couldn't get a new spoon or jig design to eat every year.  I say this with the disclaimer that I, as a fisherman, have been caught by these  "new" and "hot" lures plenty of times.

Ive had good luck with a Northland rattlin spoon with a 4 inch dropper and a single octopus glow hook tipped with a couple waxies.

When they are agressive the jigging rapalas are hard to beat they have great action, and get down to depth quickly! For the finicky biters tungsten and waxies or spikes.

I have been panfish jigging for only a couple of years and use a small gold swedish pimple with a spike on each hook of the treble.  I don't think a perch would hit it without the spikes.  Are you guys really catching perch on bare jigs?

Our usual and most reliable worked last week in Webster area. Northland forage minnow was by far the best then the Hali was a close second. But when the school slowed down a 5mm tungsten (orange/black stripes) caught them good. We always try plastics but they would not commit to it this trip. Lots of maggots loaded up on hooks was the best with some on waxes. Evening walleye came on minnow head and forage minnow. We tried buckshots and Northlands new rattle spoon but they didn't work.
Fish as much as you can we're not here forever!

1-2 punch of a slab rap on one rod and a tungsten tipped with small spike or plastic on the other!

A buckshot seems to bring them in but usually need something smaller like a tungsten jig tipped with waxie on a deadstick close by.

Seems to be better for finnicky fish. The rattle and aggressive action of the RR can scare them from time to time when they are negative to neutral. The Slab Rap doesn't fish as aggressively and has more glide to it. Finally no rattle. I have caught a ton of nice crappie and walleye on it thus far. It definitely doesn't over lap with the RR. Both great baits for their own situations....and definitely different enough to justify having a few of each around.

I've always had good luck jigging on a slender spoon with a minnow head.  Keep it a flashy color with silver and you can't go wrong.

I've had decent luck jigging the northland eye dropper in silver and red with a red treble hook tipped with wigglers.
