Had a friend check the ice this morning at A-1 and here is his report:

I just checked the ice. About 5 feet out to solid ice at the ramp. Once you walk out to the ice it's fine. Water is about a foot deep. At the edge of the ice there is a solid wall of ice almost down to the bottom. Once you step up on the ice you're fine. There were a couple of guys out fishing and we measured 9 inches. They didn't have boots and walked down the aqueduct to get on. No open water there.
