« on: Apr 10, 2013, 06:20 PM »
im a fairly new carver done a handful of decoys but i can never get the tails to have a little bend/curve they are always straight.  i use 1" wide cedar is that to narrow should i switch to a 2"?

I use 2" cedar on most of my decoys make the tail thinner and the decoy thinner, don't center it in the wood so you have more room for the tail or make metal tails so you can bend them. I use 4" sometimes on big decoys. I use 1" on metal tail decoys.
made from 2" cedar
