I have several, three I purchased new and two I picked up at a yard sale. The shafts from the spool (inside the tube) were bent in almost every one and prevent light striking fish from setting off the flag. I also had problems with the reels, the sides weren't soldered or welded to the center spool and when a fish ran the bottom nut spins off. On one, the flag post pulls out of the spring very easily and when it trips the flag and steel post flies away (almost went down the hole last time). Good for a laugh though.
I now have these repaired and use them as "loaners" for the kids.
Be sure and check them out before you use them.
