Gonna be tough to get anyone to give away good pike spots. Bantam is a decent sized lake, it's all about putting time in to find weed lines.

Get online and do some research!  In about five minutes you can find every pond in CT that has pike in it (and Mass, and RI, and so on...)  Come on man!

Just some friendly advice... You are not going to get the answers you are ultimately after with questions like that. For good reason too. A lot of people put in a heck of a lot of time and they're not going to spew it all over this website for anglers looking for a shortcut. Put your time in. Also, do yourself a favor and buy this book: "A Fisheries Guide to Lakes and Ponds of Connecticut" (http://www.ct.gov/dep/cwp/view.asp?A=2696&Q=322692). It's worth it's weight in gold.

Yes you have to do research and put your time in.  The book he mentions is a absolute must have.

I was on  Quaddick yesterday with about six others, I would not tell any one it was safe to go there either especially after today. I found spots that were 4"black plus 1.5" white and 50 yards away there was 2".  We caught some decent Pickeral and a few gills.  I was a little nervous coming off due to the thin spots.

I took this Pickeral while jigging for panfish on a micro jig. The fish was nearly as long as the rod I was using. Fun time!!!

icefishingct98 If your looking for numbers of Pike in CT, in my opinion try Bantam. Mansfield and Quaddick have some real nice fish but they can sometimes be few and far between on the Ice. I Also recommend getting "the book". Look into some coves of the larger rivers as well.  If you really want to catch numbers of pike and are willing to drive out of state to VT send me a PM and I will give you some info.

Wow Hawk, nice pick! Good report too, I'd been wondering how the ice was doing there.
Pike fishing is a like a cruel mistress that is too beautiful to leave.

My son was on Quaddick yesterday also and barely got off by the end of the day,I went by today and it is not safe. A guy went through earlier in the week. Do your own assessment but I won't fish it right now.
