The ice isn't safe yet...I was there at 11am this morning and the edges are just beginning to set...on tues. open water over 15 ft from shore...should be set for the fin tournament next weekend.

waltsfishing and bugchazer are fishing fff tourney  alot of big pike there also alot of nice bass i fish it from shore alot in summer and fall. during tourney all pike must be released i am told

A group called Fin, Fur & Feather.  Sign-up is that morning at the launch I believe.

Fin Fur and Feather club from Chaplin CT. $20 entry, 50% will go to club, 50% payout is the deal I believe.

Went up to check lake, looks good to go.You can here to ice makeing going on. Was windy and cold . Looks like I get to check out my new hut saturday. See you there. AS far as snowmobiles, up to you if you want to try it.Good Fishing

Just got back from Mansfield was able to take first place in the FFF Tourney With a 29.25 inch 6 and a half pounder not the biggest but good for 250 bucks

put in 27 consecutive hours there for that tournament with no fish.  got 1 hour of sleep.  woke up sunday morning sweating from a nightmare, said aloud "is it open water yet?!" place is a toilet, don't bother going there ever.  1 good run, 2 questionable runs.    nothing iced by me.  par for the course this winter.
if the trout are lost, smash the state.
