i fished open water  but the ice  next to me disappeared fast ...if you find ice   be careful   spud and wear floatation device

Was on Champlain last weekend in the Ticonderoga area -- fished Sat/Sun -- 10-12" of ice, although the top 5" or so was snow ice -- with the warm temps this week and the streams pushing out, I suspect the ice in this section of the lake will be pretty dicey...!
