I picked up a set. I have used them already for my fall crappie fishing. Worked great for me. I use my Vex all the time now and it makes a HUGE difference.
Thats Why They Call It Fishing.

I noticed some comments on JR's jigs. I recently picked up (and they were free, Cabelas) a coule of these called the Jalopeno Jig. They are tungsten and say size 10, but are slightly shorter than a sz 12 Mud Bug, with a slimmer profile. They would have been 2.99 a pop, if not for my gift card, points, etc. Can't wait to try them!

Picked up 14 Skandia jigs and a few JR Jalapeno jigs today. Figure I just as well start collecting Tungsten jigs even though I am not a fan of fast falling jigs. Its just not  a natural presentation.

I was doing some searching on ebay.

I found some suspect jigs I would BE WARY of.

The jigs hes advertising as "Tungsten Weight" look like Kodiak and CJ&S Diamond Jigs. I know I own both types. Looks like the typical Ebay shady deal.

although they look to be diamond jigs, they arent. diamond jigs have noticeable edges on them, these ones on ebay have alot more smoother body to them.

They are some nice looking jigs, and under the right conditions will no doubt do well; after all they are modeled after some classics. They seems to be catching some anglers, too. ;) I'd probably spring for the smallest size; if my work situation was more stable. I like the wife/ Christmas gift idea expressed above; a guilt free solution. ;D

That is the sized Fiskas I use for panies. That must be the size I need to tell her... We'll see how much she loves me. lol

I may be placing a second order, for some smaller ones closer to the season getting underway.....in case downsizing is the ticket to catching more fish...I do like the looks of these, I took them to work today and can't stop showing them off ! :)

The Bentley jigs are decent.  Nice hooks, but the 'glow' models - well, the glow SUCKS.  They catch fish, but they are no more effective for me than other tungsten jigs.  I bought some from another source last winter for $2 apiece - in my opinion, you are crazy to pay $4 apiece for them.
