Lake Lowell update
« on: Jan 13, 2013, 01:14 PM »
Fished the Nampa Dam area of Lake Lowell today...8+" of good solid ice...we caught some small perch 4-7" size and marked some other fish but only fished from 7:30 am to 10:00am. Didnt appear as anyone has fished that end at all. It was -2 outside so hopefully over the next few days it can build to 12" of ice.

Im out....

make sure you all stay in front of the Dam's within 200 yards, remember its a federal wildlife refuge-so you break a law there and its a federal ticket/crime, don't want anyone too find out the hard way...

was out there ice fishing off the Caldwell side dam, talked too 2 guys that were there they had 4 perch I think in the 8" range, I fished the west side of the dam and caught about 12 perch in the 7-9" range, for a quick hour of fishing I thought I did good, looking for those elusive bluegills..... ice was 9 1/2" I measured....

We caught a total of 10 between 7-12 inches. We started on the nampa side caught 8 moved to the caldwell side caught 5. Spent the day fishing between 15 and 20 yards from the damn's in 10 to 15 ft.

see you on the ice.

Welcome to Ice Shanty hawkeseye.

The ice is 10" near the lower dam area. Perch were hitting fairly well any place we tried but some areas/holes produced quite a bit of action at times.
