That's what I'd like to know, seems we pay more out here than you guys.
And we pay more than those east of us...makes no sense.
I know the one town in Montana that has 5 refineries is the most expensive place in the state for gas, don't get that.
Really, that's insane. I know the one town in Montana that has 5 refineries is the most expensive place in the state for gas, don't get that.
"I'm just saying don't bury your head in the sand on this, get out and vote accordingly this November!"Which crook do I vote for?
Amazing how, like gasoline, it varies like crazy in price from one area to another...makes no sense to me.
Here in NY the war on fossil fuel continues, they are trying to pass a "climate change" bill that could result in a 26% increase in natural gas heating costs and a 55 cent-a-gallon increase in gasoline taxes. They are already conceding many can’t afford either an electric vehicle or such a hefty increase in gasoline taxes and considering exemptions base on salary and "needs"... government will decide whether you "need" to go fishing, hunting, trapping, etc??? I'm just saying don't bury your head in the sand on this, get out and vote accordingly this November!
One way I save on propane is buying from my local U-Haul place. They offe price breaks on propane at 11 gallons, 21 gallons, and iirc 31 gallons and 41 gallons. So by bringing in enough tanks to hit at least the 11 gallon mark saves me several cents a gallon.Last time i brought in my 100# tank 2 bbq tanks and my 11# ice fishing tank. This got me over the 21 gallon mark for an additional savings. They said the price was steady for the last 5+ years but now it's going up.
That's the only place I've ever gotten mine...but it's still up to $3.90 gal right now. To top off my tank will cost me what it did to fill the whole thing earlier this year!!! Maybe no big deal to some , but those of us on a set income, every penny counts!
I broke even on my Flame Kings a few years ago, it's all money saved at this point. I figure I go through about 3 20lb tanks a year. Last year was $12.99 to fill a 20lber so about about $40. If it doubles this year is just an extra $40. Not ideal, but not terrifying either. Over the past 3 years I have filled each of my 4 Flame King 1lbers at least 50 times. Compared to $4 for the retail 1lbers and subtracting the initial cost, I've saved over $500. They just need to get them things back in stock....
