Hali. All the varieties work. But the Sukkula wounld be easiest to duplicate.
Every plastics manufacturer claims plastics outfish livebait. So now I use livebait just for the increased challenge.

Swedish pimple all the way.  Silver or copper depending upon water color & clarity.

I second the Swedish Pimple, that lure has yielded me more jumbo perch, walleyes, & bass than any other spoon Ive used! Nils Master Hali is good too, but the Swedish pimple has crushed for me this year!

I love Northland forage minnows and Swedish pimples.  I did however try those new Custom Jigs and Spins spoons this season(slender spoons) and did very well on brown trout with them.

Oh I forgot about the forage minnow. Its smallest size works great for me.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an  well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, A fishing pole in one hand, beer in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming \"WOO HOO, what a ride!

Back in the 80s I bought a Rapala "Jigging Pilkki".  It's a dull gold metal head-down minnow imitation, with a single hook on the nose.  They might be out of production; haven't seen them for sale in years, but the one I still have is very good on perch.  I switch to it when the Swedish Pimple isn't working.

Saturday, I had a swedish pimple with dead shiners.. caught about 4 perch and a nice salmon. had a big strike and was reeling it in, when my line broke and I lost my lure. tried 4-5 other lures(spoons and such), never got another strike...

If I could only have one, it would have to be the Swedish Pimple. Silver with green prism tape. I have caught just about every type of fish using one. That being said, I could NEVER go with just one. It's harder to do than eating just one Lay's potato chip.

Another vote for the mighty pimple.  We use em for perch - they usually outfish everything.  the bronze or silver on sunny days, the brighter colors for cloudy days, always tipped with a wiggler or two.  Catch lots of bonus walleye with em too.

a little tip - hook one of the wigglers in the tail barely so its still alive and kickin - if it is swimming the fish seem to love it.
