Does anyone know the cost and the terms on a NY fishing license for a Canadian. Where do I buy one? what is it gonna cost me? and what are the terms and time lengths available?

last year it was 25$ for a 10 day and im thinking 40$ for the year but dont quote me. my kid was here from arizona and went fishing with me and got busted by the dec. it cost me 50$.any nystate dec station will have the prices. hope this helps junky. big dave out.

Hi Icejunky, the last time I fished NY I bought my license at the Walmart in Massena. Not sure if they still sell them but it's a starting point. I believe they had 1 day, 1 week, and full year non-resident licenses.

You can get your license at the 1000 islands bait shop. The cost for an out of state season (fishing only) was $40.00 last year.

here is some for info I found that may be valuable for a Canadian looking to fish in NY. this is a lost of bodies of water that you can fish thru the ice..and what they are know for.

Because each region does that individually, just like region 7 posts biweekly fishing reports. 8 used to, but has stopped due to manpower issues.
