Klinger Lake, Sturgis area
« on: Feb 20, 2007, 01:07 PM »
Fellow Fishers, Have any of you ice fished Klinger Lake in the Sturgis area? I have never ice fished it and would like to get some ideas on where to start for some winter perch. Any suggestions would be deeply appreciated. Thanks

I have never fished Klinger but have heard good reports on the size of the fish there.  It is a big lake and from what I hear if you parked at the public access it is quite a walk to where you need to get to to fish.  Because of this 3 years ago I went out and bought a ATV just for this purpose.  Well, the last 2 years the ice wasn't good enough to run ATV's on the lake and this year I just haven't tried it yet.
Fisherman's Prayer
I pray that I may live to fish
          Until my dying day.
And when it comes to my last cast,
       I then most humbly pray:
When in the Lord's great landing net
           And peacefully asleep,
That in His mercy I be Judged
              BIG ENOUGH TO KEEP.
