Good Evening Everyone, Looks like we’re going to get some rain and heavy winds. Thundering out.

Hunts2long, Hope you had a nice relaxing day with your wife. Hope you have a bigger crowd next weekend. My wife loves Facebook market place.

Whopper Stopper, Small fairs are the best especially when they are for a good cause. Thank you for sharing those videos. Does look like your getting a invasion of raccoons.

I hope everyone had a great and safe day and has a good night. God Bless

Good evening Les Humid has packed his bags and heading elsewhere humidity/dew points rising. Thought I might see some rain earlier sky darkened and winds picked up stayed dry surprisingly .
Ice Wanderer great idea to start savings accounts for your grandchildren by the time Penelope starts college the average yearly fee for a private school might be close to 100 thousand per year. Good to read wood boiler is repaired and just needs to be drained,anti-corrosive flushed and refilled. By your comments assume you have no gas or electric powered hot water heater in your home.
Wallyworld good of you also to start savings for your grandchildren. I don't no the answer but this country needs to have a serious discussion on higher education costs if it wants to hold it's place in today technology dependent society. Thought you might take out the new truck instead of motorcycle. Hope there is not to much more wood supply work left to be done in preparing for colder weather.
Hunts2long happy for your wife the garage sale was good.
Eddie sorry your fishing trip was overruled by grandparent duties i'm sure your granddaughter was happy to go to the fair. May you get out fishing next weekend.
Whopper Stopper how did you come through today's storms. Have fun and good fishing this week. I don't know if it is just me but one of the game camera videos is not visible to me.I can view one titled "spotlight bandits and the turkey footage.
Icefisher-45 hope you had a good day. I agree with others make an attempt to see pain specialist  sooner and hopefully get some better quality to your life.
Old Goat how is everything in WI. any recent garage sales finds.

May everyone have a good Monday.

Good morning Eddie! Good morning everyone

Eddie hope you and the crew have an excellent week, hope things work out so you can get your boat out this coming weekend

WW how is the wood making going ? Hope your parts are holding up

I need to get ready to get dropped off for my walk.

Hope you all have an excellent day  Stay safe.

Mr. C, the storms missed us also. I think it was between us. I know Albany area got some of it.

Good Morning Everyone, Supposed to be a muggy day today. Prayers for those killed or injured at the shooting at the Garlic festival in California.

Whopper Stopper, I can imagine that was scary having a tornado that close. Thank you for posting that video of Tyler’s Fiero. We do need more people like that. Remember to stay hydrated for your walk.

WallyWorld, Have a good day on the water.

Ice Wanderer, Good luck at your appointment.

Hunts2long, Hope your wife is recovering from the yard sale.

I hope everyone has a great day and a safe one. Remember to stay hydrated. Tight lines to those on the water. God Bless

Finally going to set down and post after a busy weekend.

I was only taking my tools down for my son to put down the carpet in his daughters house. It is  going to be a while before that will be ready to be done. I should have voiced my opinion on how they we doing things. They are putting down 1/4 inch underlayment for the laminate flooring that is not necessary. The house has hardwood floors that are in good shape so no underlayment  is necessary. The guy that has been running the show had a lot of questions for me on how to do things some of which were too late. The granddaughter starts back in nurses training along with working in a month.

Marv I saw the tornado watch box on the weather last night and thought of you. That weather system is just coming out on Lake Michigan from Wisconsin. The middle video of the three that you posted the other day does not work. Unavailable. Thanks for posting the Fierro Video. It just proves how people can come together to make that young mans dream come true.

ww It has been another bad weekend for bikers in Michigan. I think it was three that lost their life's. I am wondering how the tail gate fits on your Chevy. My sons work truck has a half inch gap on each side allowing water to get in even with a cap on the truck soaking boxes of product in cardboard boxes. I am not sure what year it is but the company has around a hundred that have the same problem. My hunting buddy's NEW one has the same problem, while the used one my brother just bought is tight.

They found the guys body that drown last week 8 miles north of where he went in. There has been at least three more that lost their life's to Lake Michigan over the week end. Most times it is people from the other side of the state or from out of state that do not realize the danger or ignore what they are told.

There has been an number of gunstore roberies lately, most at night when they were closed. The last one was at a shop 8 miles away from me in broad day light while they were open.

I went over for vistitation my exwife's cousin that lost his life to cancer. I thought I could go the normal way forgetting about work being done on a bridge where I had to make a left turn on the far side. With only one lane each way the back up south bound was as far as I could see with no chance of making the left turn I needed to make on the far side of the bridge as there was no left turn light. Luckily I new a way around  it.

I have never seen so many at a visitation in my life. Larry was a former bussiness man and contractor. He was a very well known man. It was good to see his three sisters as it has been a long time.

Time to get some breakfst so I can get back to work on the bathroom

Good afternoon everyone

Hope you are all having an excellent day

I grabbed the cards and went through them, found a couple to share. I think tonight I will have to set the box trap out and start thinning the coon out. Yesterday afternoon into the evening they clocked over 4 hours of steady eating.

Evening all,

Such sad news from Lester Holt tonight, first the shooting in CA, then the 2 yr old that died in a hot car   :'( :'( :'(  thoughts and prayers to all involved, families, friends and first responders  :( :(

TT.....sad so many bikers and swimmers lost  :'(  the tailgate appears to fit fine I will look at it closer now tho  ;)2

WS....with the exception of running my saw into the dirt and some routine maintenance on the splitter, the machines are holding up well  :flex:  wish I could say the same for myself   :roflmao:  I will be happy when we're finally done for this year, the wet spring really messed up our program  ::)

Eddie.....you're a good Grandpa to pick the fair over fishing     that early start has to be a plus in this brutal heat  :flex:

IW......hope you made it to your appointment on time  :)

It was pretty dang hot on the lake today, even the fish were pretty lethargic  :-\  Managed 4 keepers and 4 shorts, kept the 4 for my brother's table  ;)

Have a good night. Stay safe.

Good Morning Everyone,
67* with clear skies and plenty of humidity hanging around, high of 90 today. Had a fast hitting thunderstorm come through last evening, high winds, but thankfully we didn’t get hit with the hail.

I-45...it’s a shame they can’t get you in sooner, hang in there buddy!     Are you going to try another treatment with the acupuncture?
Bud... congrats on the catching!
Wally...nice job on the Walters, way to go taking care of your brother!   I guess in a way I got to do some fishing Saturday night at the fair...using ping pong balls!   ;D
Marv...glad those tornadoes stayed away, yikes! Thanks for sharing the videos, those raccoons are a trip! That was a pretty special piece on Tyler’s Fiero, there’s still good people out there.      Good luck with the trapping!
Tom...very sorry for your loss, he sounds like he was a great man. Robbery’s have been on the rise it seems, what a set of balls it would take to rob a gun shop while it’s open.   :cookoo:
H2...I think the State Troopers near us would agree on the noise issue yesterday morning, lol. They weren’t very pleased to put it mildly, Doh!  ;D
Jeff... hope everything went well yesterday with your appointment!

Being inside yesterday had its pluses, at least the air conditioning was on. We knocked out 450sq.’ of terrazzo, but it took longer than expected as we weren’t allowed to set up the area in advance as we normally do. On that note, the hammering was still going on as people started to arrive for work...lots of unhappy faces.
Things will be quieter today... hopefully the complaint department wasn’t overwhelmed with work yesterday.
Back to the terrazzo work today...Cawfee’s on!
Have a great day all, be safe, best of luck to those fishing!

                  Good morning Eddie, ER's,
It's 67* and clear here on my hill, the humidity is still high. ::)
Eddie........The capital workers can screw off, if they can't work with a little hammering they can stay home. Why do you have to
                  loose sleep for them. :%$#!:
Marv.........Good luck with the coon trapping, they are cute but can be a nuisance if you let them alone.
Bud..........It must have felt good getting the boat out, sorry no keepers.
Wally........Nice job on the Eyes, even nicer that you gave them to your brother
I-45.........I'm sorry you have to wait till September to get an appointment with Pain management clinic. :cookoo: :%$#!: It's like me
Having to wait a month and a half for my shoulder surgery. ::)
Tom.........X2 for your loss, like Eddie said, he sounded like he was a good man. :angel Some people have some really big Kahoonies robbing
a gun store while it's open. :cookoo:
It's grand kid day today, with a twist, Emma and Carson will be spending the night, their parents have a function to go to.  so tomorrow
morning we have to get them up and fed and off to summer camp. Emma goes to reading camp and Carson goes to crafts camp.
I hope everyone has a good Tuesday either at work or out fishing.

Good Morning Everyone, looks like it’s going to be a muggy one today. My wife is home today. Apparently a Bobcat was seen by our old place in Athol.

Ice Wanderer, Sounds like Your going to have your hands full today. I’m sure the kids will enjoy sleeping over at Grandmas and Grandpas house. Did they give you any pain medication for the shoulder?

Mason Eddie, People on the capital need to learn to be inconvenienced once in a while. Going to see the acupuncturist on Friday. Could be my last appointment for a while. Next week is preop then the following week surgery on my back. Are you inside again today?

I hope everyone has a great day and stays hydrated. God Bless

65* and some haze as the sun comes up over the hill.

WW, you got out, caught some fish, everyone's happy. It had to be HOT out there. Lindsay and I are going out on Thursday.

Eddie, it wasn't the noise, it was the noise on Monday morning. They wanted to come into work and rest up from the weekend. Maybe we should try ping-pong balls, you did very well.

Ice-45, hope you are feeling better.

Have a good day...h2l

Decent 63* to start the day.

ww How about you adopt me as your brother. I would enjoy some walleyes to eat.

marv I hope that you can rid the world of those coon. I have a couple  of live traps you can borrow.

My on and his wife did not get to the funeral home until late in the visitation and  the place was still full.

Here is a link that was posted in the thread about the drownings on Michigan-Sportsman. It shows the number of drownings on all of the great lakes so far this year. It is not surprising that there has been only tow on Lake Superior as it never gets warm enough to swim.

https://www.clickondetroit.com/news/michigan/lake-michigan-drownings-up-80-since-last-year

Today will be spent trying to get the bill I got from the hospital complex I use straightened out. Medicare did not pay for some lab work I had done. I will call Medicare to find out what the lab work was and why they would not pay for it. I am wondering if the hospital did not code it right. I can get that straightened out if that is why as my DIL is the head of coding for another big hospital in the same city.

Morning all,

IW......how fun to have the grandkids for the night   bet there will be lots of pool time today  ;)

H2L.....hot doesn't even begin to describe it  @)  weatherman said mostly cloudy and a 5-10 mph breeze, neither things were true  :nono: dead calm and bright sun all day

WS.....hope there's a bunch of hungry fish out there today  :flex:  good luck trapping the raccoons, they can be pretty cunning when it comes to stealing the bait w/o getting caught  :woot:

IF45......is there another pain management place nearby that could possibly get you in sooner  ???  hope Friday's appointment helps the headaches

Eddie.....too bad for the capital employees they had to be "disturbed"   let them see what a "real" job looks and sounds like  ;)2  bet the a/c was appreciated by all  ;D

TT......sorry for your loss  :'(  nice so many took the time to pay their respects   thieves are the lowest of low, taking stuff that doesn't belong to you......no excuse for that  :nono: :%$#!:

Pretty quiet day today, hair cut appointment this morning followed by a lunch date with a friend   maybe a trip to WalMart just to stay out of the heat  for a bit  ;D

Have a good day at work or play. Stay safe.

Morning TT....good luck with Medicare and your bill problem, hope it's a simple error in billing  ;)

Good evening everyone

A long day of nothing on the lake today. My wife took the day off to come musky fishing with me, everything about the day was fun except not seeing and muskies. She caught two bass, one 16" and one 18", I caught one 28" N. pike. When we were loading the boat we ran into the weed sprayers, they said the last two days they have been poisoning the lake trying to rid it of weeds. Probaby had something to do with things.

Hope you all have an excellent evening  Stay safe.

Today marked 17 years since my dad was called to join my Mom, miss you OT.

Good Morning Everyone,
  Happy Hump Day!   ;D
65* and cloudy skies this am, high of 80 today with a chance of some thunderstorms rolling through.

Marv...sorry the Muskys weren’t on the chew, glad you got to spend the day with your wife targeting them though! The poults are growing up fast, excellent videos!     See the trap is set up, will be looking forward to seeing some footage of the raccoon roundup!!
Wally... hope you had a nice relaxing day yesterday. Looking like some cooler weather for the next few days...any fishing plans? Agree about the complainers!!
Tom...thanks for sharing the link, wow, so many lost lives this year, so sad! Hope you got the bill straightened out, it seems they’re always trying to get more out of our wallets.
H2...I believe you are correct on some of the complainers!!   The ping pong balls with the dents in them seemed to work the best... :roflmao:
I-45... hope you had a good day yesterday with your wife, best wishes on Friday’s appointment!
Jeff...betting the pool got a workout with the weather yesterday! Hope you had a wonderful day/evening with the grandchildren!   It’s great to be amongst working folks here who understand that “ working “ sometimes involves noise.

Things are starting to move along pretty good now with our terrazzo work. We got all of our prep work completed yesterday and today we will be putting in the  base material, pouring the terrazzo mix tomorrow.
They had the NYS Bar Exam going on yesterday, huge group there.
  That time again....Cawfee’s on!

It's 66* and partly cloudy here on my hill. ::) We got some pretty intense thunderstorms yesterday afternoon.
Eddie........That's good you and the crew are seeing light at end of tunnel with the terrazzo.
Marv.........I know I've said it before but that's why the call Muskies the fish of 10,000 cast. lol :roflmao: I hope the next outing you and Jo
have better luck. :flex: How is Jo doing with the eye pressure? ???
I-45.........No prescribed pain meds from the Dr. I do have some Tramadol that I can take with Ibuprofen when the pain is really bad.
But mostly rely on Ibuprofen.  ::)
H2L..........Did you get the same storms that we did around 4 pm? ???
Wally........I hope you enjoyed the day off of any activity, it was too hot and humid to do much. The 2 grand kids that stayed the night
are really good kids and don't give us much of a time when they are here. :flex:
Tom.........That's really sad that so many people have drowned it that area. :(
Busy morning this morning, I have to get the kids up feed them then take them to day camp. After that I'm going to try to mow my lawn once
it dries out from the rain.

Eddie glad the terrazzo work is going well  I am anxiously awaiting to see if the trap is occupied this morning also.

IW Sounds like a busy day alright. I bet the kids love the overnights at Grandpas  I was able to knock off my lawn yesterday after fishing.

WW hope you had a relaxing day yesterday

TT thanks for the trap offer, I have a couple of traps I'll see how it goes. The coon don't come every night so it may take awhile ???

65* this morning.

IW, we got some heavy rain but the t-storm was East of us. I did hear a few rumbles.
WS, more great videos. Thanks.
Eddie, I remember those day when the Bar Exam was being given. It was very good for the downtown businesses.
Not a lot planned for today, going to do some laundry, and the wife is going to give me a hair cut and trim. I want to look good for all those walleyes on Thursday...lol
Have a good day....h2l

Chilly 51* start to the day. If it keeps this up I might have to get out my long johns.

Eddie You better keep the noise down or that bunch of up and coming lawyers will be taking your crew to court for violating some noise ordinance even if they have to make one up. The government employees that do not like the noise should be made to do an honest days work running a jack hammer so they will see how cushy their office jobs are.

I stopped at the MSP post about the abandoned car down the street from me. He told me I had to call central dispatch and file another complaint. What about the complaint I already filed at the post. The guy at the desk knew I was not happy when I left. The attitude of  some of the MSP Troopers has sure changed from when I used to be friends with so many over at the other place.

Yesterday was nothing but frustating trying to get the bill straightened out. It was almost impossible to get through to the billing department and when I did I ran into a brick wall. I had alrady talked to medicare and they could not understand the bill as it should have been covered. I finally called Blue Cross as they cover what medicare  does not. They had no record of the charges being sent to them. When the gal put me on hold and tried to get through to the hospital all she got was a place to leave a voice mail. She could not leave a voice mail as it would contain my personal information. I am calling the hospital where the test was done today to see if the gal there can get it straightend out. That gal was not there yesterday when I drove over there.
