Title: You tube video for aging fish in the perch class
Post by: gf hardwater guy on Feb 06, 2019, 11:15 AM
For those that are wondering the ages of the fish they are catching, I found this video to be rather informative. DISCLAIMER, I have not tried to do this yet so I can't say if it works or not, but at least the theory is decent.

You bet. I wish I would have had seen this video before my last trip out ice fishing. I would have tried this with the just a hair under 12 inch male I caught on that trip. Unfortunately for me, the garbage men came that Monday morning in the dark and took away the carcasses, otherwise, I would have been dumpster diving to get that male one back. :)

Excellent information gf, thanks!  I can't wait to compare the growth rates of the perch in my two go-to lakes.

Modify the window sill drying method as necessary if you’re married or own an indoor cat. 😜  Nice video.
