Montana Grayling lakes
« on: Jan 21, 2009, 11:48 AM »
I know Hyalite has greyling in it, but i have yet to catch one or see one yet (my species goal for this winter), and i was wondering if anyone else knows of any lakes that have lots of greyling in them where i don't need a snowmobile to get too, or where they are easier to catch. Thanks and keep on Drilling!

Rogers lake over here has easy access, but I've heard the Grayling catching through the ice can be tricky.  I'm going to give it a try for the first time this year....

I know that Park Lake has grayling as well but not sure if you can get there with out a snow machine.

Handkerchief lake in the southfork of the flathead used to have grayling in it, but it would be a long ride in on a snowmobile to fish it. What a fun trip that would be though. I believe there are some forest service cabins back there you can spend the night in, but its like a 30 mile ride back if I remember right.
