Frenchtown and Anaconda Areas
« on: Jan 19, 2009, 06:53 PM »
Was on a road trip Thursday and was on the interstaste west bound and seen a portable shanty on a pond west of Frenchtown.
On the way back home Saturday there were a couple of portable shantys and a few guys on the ice at Frenchtown.
I got to the Anaconda area and there was a hardside dropdown shanty came out on the interstate alongside of us.
I was wondering if it was any of the iceshanty dot com members. :)

I took my shanty out to Frenchtown Pond one day this winter on an afternoon when I found myself bored.  Caught a slew of little perch and sunnies, one decent bass and one 12+ inch perch.  I saw a pike in there this summer that probably would've topped out over 20 lbs. too.  That'd be fun to pull through the ice.
