Title: Stump
Post by: jamflowman on Feb 01, 2019, 10:38 AM
What's up everyone? Trying to head out on Stump on Sunday but I'm down in South County so haven't had a chance to check any ice up that way. Hows it looking? Anyone else planning on hitting it this weekend?

Haven't checked it since last weekend - which had sketchy edges but the main ice looked decent.  I assume it'll be good to go this weekend - I'm also planning on heading there Sunday.  If I can get outta the house for a little tomorrow, I'll swing by and check it out and will report back if no one else beats me to the punch

I was there Thursday on a lunch break.  Edges were still a bit thin and I didn't have a change of shoes to jump out there.  Probably two inches at the edge where it was open on Monday.  Main ice should be more than fine by now as it was still all locked up earlier in the week.

Swung by the lake late. Met a gentleman packing up who told me edges were fine and solid ice out further. Saw several parties on the ice so didnt bother spudding. Will in the am, but expect it should be more than fine.

How'd you make out Jam?  I had a slow morning but after a few missed flags and a location change, I had the most productive day (numbers wise) I've ever had.  Between bass on the tip ups and perch/bluegills/pickerel on the jigging rod, i barely had time to enjoy my cigar between the action
