Title: How deep is too deep?
Post by: helimpd124 on Jan 01, 2017, 12:22 PM
How deep would you consider too deep to be fishing for walleye and releasing fish? A couple of the spots I've been thinking about trying have spots that are 25 to 40 ft. With our slot limit i don't want to be having to release fish that are going to die.

25-30 will be ok. Around 30 they will start to show signs of barotrauma. a descending device may be a good tool to have if you choose to fish deeper.
