Vexilar s-cable
« on: Jan 16, 2015, 03:32 PM »
I fish in under 15 feet of water mostly and have a flx-28. Would the s-cable work on my flasher and also would it be worth putting on? Thanks

Absolutely zero need for the S-cable on the Fl-18, Fl-20, Fl-22 and FLX-28. They all have LP mode and do fine in shallow water as is.

I bought and tried it on a fl-18 and it didn't do a thing for it.  Maybe you could borrow someones to try out first.

No S cable needed with a FLX 28. low power mode or weed mode and you will be good to go.also keep your gain setting as low as possible especially if you you use the pro view that comes with the 28. I had a 28 for a while this year year and really didn't care for it. If I do try one again sometime I am going to put a 12 degree transducer on it in place of the proview.
Fishing is not a hobby it is a way of life
