Good jigging day at Bantam

Found some crappies in 24 ft. of water and the nicest whitie i've gotten out of Bantam in a long time. Total 8 crappies one white perch a short pickerel. Missed 3 out of four flags, got bit off by one pike (no steel leader).

How was the ice at Candlewood? We have a spot we go for smallies in the Shelter Harbor area. I live in Bristol, I would hate to drive all the way out there and not be able to get on.

Nice jigging, you have it dialed in good.  ;D that place can be STINGY. Not every day you see a white perch
bigger then crappie.  :o

Thats a nice white.  I remember back when I was younger, you could catch the whites like this one all day long in Bantam.

candlewood ice is generally good (quads are still out here and there) although specific areas might have bad edges. bring a plank just to be sure
