Laker day

Hit the big lake this morning. Balmy 7 degrees and breezy. First spot was fishable but we would have been beaten up by the wind so we pivoted to plan b. A good 4 inches of white ice and about 2.5 inches of new black ice which we didn't venture out on. Fished 35-38 fow and between the 3 of us iced 15 Lakers. I had 8 which was my best day on Winni. Got 3 on a tube and 5 on a bucktail. Biggest was 20 in. Smallest 15 in. Too cold for pics but we got one quick one.

Those are Cabela's trans-alaska pac boot. They are the warmest boots I've ever owned. They are big and heavy but so warm

Sounds like a fun day with plenty of action. It was a cold one for sure, we unloaded the sleds and hit the trails around Newfound about 700. Seen from the trail a guy trying to setup a hub in the wind, it looked painful lol
