Hoping to make a few trips out on my home waters of dutchess county this winter. I just bought a house in Bantam CT, but I'll be over in NY occasionally to visit my parents. Can't wait!

With the colder temps comming maybe we will get some smaller lakes to freeze up

Was out yesterday and checked a spot in ulster for the heck of it. Skim ice on the edges and around 50% skim in the center of the pond. Hoping to be out on the ice by new years give or take a few days. Though its probably just wishful thinking, keeping the fingers crossed.

marry christmas to all the guys in the shantie...
I took a ride yesterday & check a few lakes ..lake huntington had very little skim ice on it.
I went to superior & it was half open water & half skim ice ...
I went to white lake & there was no ice at all...
all the small farm ponds & small water had ice ....It wont be long now cold temps forcasted
for the next few days ....

Hey, don't forget about the local PA guys too buddy ! I was on 3.5" in PA this morning for about an hour... heckuva Christmas present if I do say so myself !

Greetings everyone I know it has been quite awhile since my last post. I hope everyone has had a good holiday season .
Like many other Americans the last few years have not been the greatest for me financially, I need to install new security software on my computer. Then hopefully I can get back on Ice Shanty more often miss reading all of your posts.
A good ice season to all of you and may you all have a happy healthy 2013.
