so the pond by my house surprisingly held up with todays warm temps. still has ice but also looks slushy. Hopefully it gets below freezing tonight to lock it back up so it does not lose more tomorrow. Looking at the extended forecast it looks good after thursdays rain!

i went fishing at hi land lake at daylight ,about 2 1/2 ins of ice but ware it milted yesterday it honey cone the ice , i fish not to far from shore but as soon as the sun got on the ice it began to melt, i lift there was water coming to the top as i walked , we need a deep frees

Hey everyone, I am new to the site and thread and have read a couple of comments about Morningside lake up here in Sullivan county. I drove by there today and seen about 10 to 15 fisherman spread out over the lake. I didn't check the ice but am assuming by the numbers the ice is finally here.

For all you Rockland and Orange county guys drove around Orange County today and most lakes are locked up or have one or two small spots of open water. Glenmere had about an inch of ice. Hopefully we will have a good freeze soon so we can get out.

Walton and Round lakes take longer to ice up because of the springs in them.

was at glenmere today to! i was looking for spring fishing spots and looking at the ice it looks good only need a week or so of cold days n were golden thats one of my favorite places to fish u just have to know where to go. do u know if u can ice fish on creamery pond ?

Just rode past Walton and Round. Walton is wide open and Round is skimmed over with some open spots
