The ice is getting a start

Woke up this morning to a sealed lake outside.  Its no where's near to something I would dare to walk on but its a start.

I just went down on my farm pond and cut a test hole with my Chain saw  2 1/4"   another day kids will be skateing

The farm ponds around Hancock are locked up. Went to a local pond... maybe like 500 acres. Wide open. Wind was blowing a little shell ice up on the east shore.
