hooks line bait

going fishing for walleye for the first time on hard water what is the best line and leader and hook size and bait

#6 or #8 test Mono or vanish leaders
#10, #8, #4 hooks (red, bronze, or silver) I use all different ones
sm.-med. suckers, med. golden shiners, med.-lrg. emerald shiners

that would get ya started, and but your bait about 8" to 1-1/2 foot off of bottom.

Camo_fish gave great advice, can't go wrong with any of that.
A plain ball head jig and minnow is a good combo too.
A person could also try the medium sized circle hooks in silver or red, no need to set the hook just reel or hand line them in. :)
