Won't be long now! Maybe we can all get together tomorrow and stand on the shore with some tarps to keep the wind off the KING and she'll lock up!

I would have to say that is definitely Ice you are seeing on the webcam.   Now all we have to do is wait for someone to tell us how far down the lake has frozen. Also when I tried to run the 3 hour loop is showed open water then I noticed in date was from 1/11 not today?!  :cookoo:

I looked back at last year's post and the ice didn't start forming on the webcam until Feb 9th :o. Does that mean we are over 2 weeks ahead of last year ???. I hope so, and it looks a lot colder this year.

The Mohawk river was mostly frozen by the Rexford Bridge this morning   I figure if the "Hawk" is frozen over Lake George can't be far behind

Did you say Mo"Hawk" River  ??? ???
Sounds like some work day pike fishing is on it's way for me
You know those days "will be in around noon"

The hudson is starting to ice over along the 787 also.  That has always been my best guide in past years for safe ice on saratoga and other local fishing hot spots.  Seems once the river starts to ice over, the lakes are thick enough to fish...well with the exception of the king.  He is a beast all to his own.
