Saratoga Lake???
« on: Jan 15, 2006, 06:15 PM »
Has anyone fished Saratoga lake since this past weeks high temps?  I was wondering how much ice there is out there and if anyone has caught any keeper walleyes?

Please advise...

According to yesterday's local newspaper reports, Saratoga Lake has moved one step closer to becoming a water source for Saratoga Springs.  You can be sure the $$$$ residents will pitch a fit and file a bunch of legal papers to fight it, but you can be sure the racetrack crowd (and the politicians) will have an even bigger say in the matter.  And if the lake does become a public water source you can be sure there will be major restrictions on recreational activities, maybe even to the point of eliminating the boat launch (and stocking by DEC).  Keep an eye out for updates because this project is bound to move fast!

It will move fast with the cash in that area. Hope the status quo stays the same.
