Put all my gear away Wednesday night after trip to Rose Valley.  Ice is going quick.  Time for open water.  Nez

Was suprised when I heard it was Beltzville............ .....................o ne of the pictures showed the rescuers in a zodiac in open water today. So whatever ice there was yesterday apparently melted by today.

 I understand the reason so many ice fishermen nearing the end of their lives go out on VERY SKETCKY ice , its not that they are trying to bring grief to their families and friends its saying good by to all who know them. These men are the true hero's who taught a whole generation of kids and adults how to enjoy the art of fishing and just CAN'T FADE AWAY IN SOME NURSING HOME.  My hat is off in surest reverence of those men who lived their lives there way and died looking up their hole.

I wonder if this guy had taken precautions like wearing ice pics and a life preserver when he was out on the ice alone. They said his family called the police when he did not come home. If he was more precautious, he may be alive. Maybe we could all be a little safer; I see some guys out without pics; how do they expect to get out if they fall in?

I’m 63 an have gone in before getting outs only half of it you better get a fire lit fast that’s where someone with you helps out and can throw you a boat cushion an rope sorry nobody wants to go out that way. My prayers are with his family. A/P
