Tried Pasqua today, very slow and only a small Walleye and 1 Tolly. Tried 7-8 spots from Wambach to Luther in 18-42'. Places where catch normally over the years. Hopefully better by weekend.

Pretty slow day on Mission by the ski hill.  Ice is a good 18-20 inches.

Had a good day out on the ice today! 3 adults and 3 kids, iced over 50 walleye, mostly small ones! Kept 6 eyes and a 11” perch!

I was wondering if anyone has been to Katepwa lately? Has anyone been driving on at Sandy Beach? Is there any heaves near there? Thanks,

Hey Liteguy,
what part of Mission were you fishing? Looking at taking out a 81 year old and hope to find fish for him.
Thanks

Was out at Echo today, fishing was good, 2 of us iced about 30 eyes, only 2 big enough to keep but threw them back, also caught 5 perch, 10-12 inches! Kept the perch for a fish fry!

wouldnt those be tulibee, not whites? or are there whitefish as well in these lakes.

the way i was taught to distinguish was that Tulibee's lower jaw extends past the upper jaw (under bite). Whitefish have an upper jaw that extends past the lower (over bite).

whitefish are bigger too generally, and are harder to catch.

lots of actual whitefish in blackstrap and deifenbaker, and technically its all the same system so i'm sure there are some but for most part for the qu'appelle lakes is probably overwhelming majority tulibee rather than whitefish - that's certainly all i've ever caught there

I have also landed many Tulibee or Cisco rather than whites in the quadrille lakes. But I’d say both are running around down there.

Lots of walleye and perch on the camera when i was out last weekend, but only got one Walleye and a ton of Ciscos.
They would come for a look at the bait and not bite.

How is the water clarity in the chain lakes?   LML hasn't been great so far. Use the camera a lot.  Thanks

The water clarity is very good, but Katepwa has a lot of what appear to be small freshwater shrimp and when they swim in they cut down the visibility.

Heard a bunch a shacks got broken into on the East end of Pasqua! That"s why I leave mine empty and unlocked. You people are losers, get a job and buy your own stuff! That"s the only bad thing about not having much snow, any idiot can drive on the ice!!!
