Vexilars and Lowrance
« on: Nov 29, 2017, 08:48 AM »
This year i finally got myself a Vexilar, decided to go with a flx-12, I however have a lowrance hd7 that I would like to maybe set up for ice as well in the future but what I'm wondering before doing that is if they get along side by side or if there's interference between them? Does anybody have any experience with the 2 brands side by side?

Not personally, but you can use your summer transducer through the ice and see for yourself.

even if you were to get cross talk between the two units the new Vexilar FLX-12 has 20 steps of interference rejection so using that you should be able to clean it up if you do get any from the Lowrance.

My buddy has a Lowrance hds5 and it struggles to get along with anything other than my hummingbird ice55. Has the worst problems with vexilar anywhere insides 50 yards. Your experience may differ. If you have a HDS unit Id get the ice ducer from Lowrance and use it, it’s twice the unit the vexilar is. You said your Lowrance was a hd  so I don’t know if that’s the same as the HDS.
