Anyone fish Van Etten Lake, or somewhere close to it?

Just wondering if anyone has been fishing Van Etten Lake or any other lake close by.. Would like to know how you do.. Usually catch a few perch out there and some pike, but nothing to huge.

If we're talking about Van Etten in Oscoda I only know of one steelhead being caught there. We've gotten some small walleye and a few nice pike by the dam. Mostly perch between the island and the YMCA camp though.
I don't get to fish it anymore since I've moved but if you are going PM me and I'll give you a really hot spot for perch.

im sorry to say but umm salmon are Not IN VAN ETTEN.. i know that for a fact because i live 30 minutes away..

How is the ice on Van Ettan ? heading up that way this weekend .

Right as of today there is 5 ft open water around some edges but i think if you can get out there its about 6-8".. This cold weather should help it out alot.

Just because they were stocked doesn't mean that they are still there. Cormorants probably wiped out most of them within two or three months. They also have stocked a lot of walleye, but there are very few caught anymore.
Nothing worth getting upset over. Just pray for ice and fish Van Etten for perch.
