Shot here in west central Iowa too.  The rain we had last week totally killed the shorelines.

Here in the northeast for some it was the "winter that wasn't".
In MA you had to go west or north to find consistent safe ice.
After this past weekend it's even further west and north!

Luckily in the lakes region on NH they had a good ice year.
Even luckier still, I have a brother who owns a house near the big lake and I plan on visiting it this weekend.

I agree, such a weird winter. In Southern NH there is basically no snow right now, but if you go north of the notch it's record breaking snow. It makes for great late season fishing and snowmobiling because no one thinks there is ice and snow when it's not in their backyard. I'll be snowmobiling for another month or more easy.

Still 40 inches plus here on the Canadian Prairies - tough thing will be getting on and off the ice with the warm temps that are stating to show up - the edges are going to get sketchy.  Truck will definitely be left on shore but even walking on could be a challenge.
