Title: It's not over yet.
Post by: hardfloor on Feb 15, 2018, 08:37 PM
I fished a lake out in the east today and killed it. I had 8 strong inches of great ice no plank needed. Caught 17 bass in 2 and a half hours one, pushing 5 lbs. It was epic, couldn't even get the stove set up for dinner. Look for ice and you will find it.  Fish on!!

There's one pond I know of that gets ice early and melts late, I'm hoping it still has ice. I'm also eying a few places in MA. I haven't been able to get out much and my last trip went badly despite trying to have a good attitude and I don't want that to be my last trip.

Nite fishing  is over for me in Ct. Was on the ice last nite. 5” solid and edges were hit an miss no probs getting on or off. Fishing was decent. It was more dangerous driving home than being on the ice. Don’t think the ice will hold up after this week. Put I still plan hopefully getting out again before the end of the month. Haven’t done a day trip all year, it’ll be a change of pace lol ;D ;)
