Central Iowa Ice...
« on: Dec 12, 2009, 02:39 AM »
What are you guys seeing out there?  Looks like the wind blew the snow of a lot of the ponds around my area.  I have not had a chance to get out and drill any holes yet.  How about you guys?

Yes on Polk City bait being open.  I don't know if Bill carries flashers or not.

Fished a pond near Fort Dodge on 5 inches of clear ice.  Fishing was slow.  Checked brushy creek the other day, it had 4 inches of white ice and one inch of good ice.  One guy was out there catching a bunch of 5-6 inch crappies.
