Kids love the ice

Here are a couple pictures from Mackay Reservior, Idaho taken on 1/28/13.  About 26-30" of ice, nice sunny day with just a little breeze at around 11F.

Our limit of 12 kokes and one cutthroat to top it off(cutthroat was only kept because the dumb fish had to bleed everywhere ;D)

That eskimo is nice.  The only problem with it is when the wind blows the sides pop in.  So you just have to add a couple more ice anchors to it.  But when it pops in and your not expecting it....well lets just say it scares the s*#t out of you. ;D

That is a lot of ice to hand auger through, but it really wasnt that bad.  I was told it was soft ice.  I didnt know ice could be soft.  We were actually drilling our holes faster than the guys next to us who had gas augers.  If your arm wasnt tired you could drill a hole in about 45 seconds to a minute.
