Back in the day, a cold bottle of Yuengling used to hit the spot very Nicely ! When I was was younger and fished with my Grandpa, I can remember most of the old timers had flasks of Brandy or Schnapps in various flavors ! Ahh the good old days !

Surf the only prob with bringing alcohol on the ice is Fish and Game. I dont know if you do fish Winnipesaukee or not, but the Fish and Game Wardens will drop by every so often. So some Jack Daniels is not a good thing when they come.

Like I said back in the day, many moons ago when people were more tolerable of somebody having a nip on the ice ! I know most of the F&G officers by name and some of the Biologists, never had trouble with them ! Having a cold one or a nip or two is up to the individual, if someone is out of control, then they will deal with it !

Though it may be unfortunate that my life began in the deep south, their most used beverage has stuck in my mind and is often taken on the ice in a thermos.

It depends...some days coffee other days a cold beer (I home brew my own so I like to bring along a nice Stout or Porter). Of course, I've been known to bring a little something for the coffee.
